The Shimano BB-MT501 is a bottom bracket with a sleeve made of synthetic material designed to fit a 24 mm axle crankset into a frame with a BSA bearing. With the enclosed spacers, it is suitable for shell width of both 73 mm and 68 mm.

The Shimano BB-RS501 bottom bracket allows you to install a crankset with a 24 mm axle into a road bike frame with threaded bearing. Depending on the version, it is a BSA or ITA bottom bracket shell with 68 mm or 70 mm width.
